Drain Doctor Raising Funds for Help for Heroes

Drain Doctor Raising Funds for Help for Heroes

Doesn't it feel good to give back? While we at Mr. Rooter Plumbing are a national sponsor of Ronald McDonald House Charities®, our UK counterpoint, Drain Doctor, supports Help for Heroes. This organization supports those injured in the Armed Forces providing "direct and practical support" for those wounded. As a former Marine myself I really appreciate when companies give back to veteran men and women of our Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of our country since 9/11.

Four franchise owners, who are also all members of the Woodbridge Rugby Club, decided they wanted to do something different to raise funds for the charity. Taking part in an international motor rally, The Screwball Rally, they were able to raise £2,000 for Help for Heroes, and have fun in the process.

The race around Europe involved 50 cars on a 2,000 mile round trip via Mannheim, Prague, Hanover and Amsterdam. While the whole process, from purchasing an inexpensive car, to dressing up and the police arriving is an interesting tale of how our franchisees find new and interesting ways to raise funds for charities we care about.

Here's wishing you a world class day!
