Plumbing Problems

A number of factors can work alone or in combination to affect the rate of corrosion in any piping system. Depending on the number and degree of these factors, even a new piping system can begin to show signs of corrosive wear only two years after installation. Even the highest quality water source can cause some of these problems in your piping system:

Pinhole leaks These small leaks in your pipes can cause major damage such as mold and wet spots on the floor, ceiling or walls.
Low water flow Low water flow Poor or lower than normal flow can be attributed to encrusted build-up in your piping system.
Discolored water Discolored water Many people attribute discolored water to the water source, when in fact the water entering their home is clean, but the rust in their pipes is causing the discoloration.
Lead / copper contaminants Lead / copper contaminants Corrosion causes lead and copper contaminants from your home’s water system to leach or seep into your drinking water.

The Process

  1. Assessment of the Pipes. This process involves a thorough inspection of the plumbing system’s condition and a comprehensive assessment of what problems currently exist and how to best fix them.
  2. Pipes are Air-Dried. Small air hoses are connected to the piping system’s water lines. The isolated system is then dried with preheated, filtered dry air.
  3. Pipes are Cleaned. The dried pipes are cleaned to remove any corrosive buildup and oxidation that can create blockage, which can damage your fixtures. An air and sand mixture sandblasts the inside surface of the pipes, which prepares the internal pipe surface for proper bonding of the epoxy.
  4. Epoxy Coating Applied. The final stage of the ePIPE® process is the application of the epoxy lining to the piping system. This seals and protects the piping system.
  5. System Inspection. All water supply lines are reconnected and a complete system check is performed.

Benefits

Before and After
Before (left) and After (right)
EPIPE
Coppoer Coated
Copper Pinholed

Clean water
No more brown water or discoloration. No more lead or copper contamination. Safe, clean pipes that deliver your water source.

Improved water flow
Significant build-up of corrosion or pinhole leaks can cause low water pressure. The ePIPE® process gives you the water pressure your system was intended to deliver.

No future leaks
The protection that ePIPE® provides will last for years, eliminating the leaking problem in your water system.

Cost effective
Because there is no need to destroy walls, ceilings or floors, you save money in reconstruction costs.

Better than new
The ePIPE® restored piping system will not corrode, pit or scale, and it prevents the leaching of lead and copper contaminants with the epoxy barrier coating.

Warranty
All ePIPE® work performed comes with a 5-year warranty.

No pipe wall damage
Restore your pipes without the mess and expense of a repipe.

Fast, Quiet, Clean
The ePIPE® process is very quiet, and, unlike a repiping construction job, most ePIPE® restorations take less than two days.
