Leaks in my unit typically stem from issues with the apartment above mine.  Addressing leaks between floors requires that a company be experts in their field, knowledgeable of access to multiple shut-off valves in numerous locations, and understand association requirements.\n\nTypically when giving a positive review, I avoid critiquing another company, however, having a significant basis for comparison, it seems pertinent to mention the other plumbing companies when praising Mr. Rooter Plumbing.\n\nRoto-Rooter Plumbing was not a choice, as the lead technician who came to &quot;fix&quot; a shower issue from the unit above the year prior was incredibly unprofessional.  They overpriced what was a quick-fix job, affixing parts not meant for our type of plumbing.  Casey&#039;s Climate Partners in Milford was available and had promising reviews, which is why I reached out to them.  Their initial estimate, which required taking out the tile bathroom wall (but not putting it back), was $1,775.00, for which they charged and received a 20% deposit on the spot ($377.54).  Their technicians were a no-show for the follow-up service (twice) because the company gave our scheduled and confirmed appointment to another client, which extended the problem by several weeks.\n\nI found Mr. Rooters Plumbing via Google, who resolved the issue in less than two hours, for $1,300.33, without removing any walls.  The company called the day before to confirm and an hour prior to the appointment to let me know they were on their way.  The technicians (Eric Campbell and Gary Anderson) found the faulty pipe in minutes.  They spoke to the upstairs unit owner (who left us his keys as he could not be present), the association, and the association&#039;s maintenance team over the phone while doing their assessment so they could address the issue as quickly and efficiently as possible.  The technicians were on-time, professional, and efficient.  Eric and Gary walked me through the problem, photographed everything they addressed before and after, and shared the photographs for our records.\n\nI am impressed that Mr. Rooter Plumbing only cut a few inches of sheetrock to address a pipe problem between two floors, which meant not having to schedule and pay for additional services or follow-ups.  Because the company sent two technicians, they communicated with one another from both units while resolving and evaluating their work.  Mr. Rooter Plumbing was transparent about their diagnosis, the parts they replaced and affixed, including their billing.   With condos, billing is problematic.  Depending on where the problem resides, the cost can fall on either the unit owner(s) or the association.  Mr. Rooter Plumbing was flexible regarding payment responsibility, which most companies are not.\n\nThe final price came out lower than their estimate.  The technicians were willing to wait after they arrived and assessed the problem for our building&#039;s association to call back and approve the work, so they could get started to avoid having to schedule a follow-up appointment with us.  When they finished servicing both units, the technicians put the appliances back in place and disposed of the sheetrock and old parts. They reviewed all the plumbing and connections thoroughly and made sure there is no issue before applying the solutions.\nThey then started with hydro jet flushing, but the clog was not completely removed, and the video inspection showed that it was stuck at 40 feet. They didn&#039;t give up and located another entry point which required a foot digging where they had to cut the 4-inch pipe and jet from that location and after jetting cleared obstruction at about 90 feet. It was then stuck at 90 ft and was not able to move forward.\nThe point of obstruction was located, and it was decided to dig another day and find out the root cause.\nNext day they took care of all the city inspections and approvals for the excavation and showed up at 7:00 am with their crew. Excavated existing sewer line near condenser on side of yard. They then exposed existing AC 6-inch sewer line with fernco. continued to expose existing sewer line and found another fernco coupling. At some point in time, wine was repaired with fernco and SDR pipe. So basically, we found frozen grease and wood debris of pipe size and misalignments. He removed the proximately 10-foot section of pipe and replaced with (2) arc couplings and 6-inch SDR pipe. Also installed 6-inch clean out for future access. The old pipe was replaced and the offsets in the pipe was corrected up to a great extent.\nAfter all the process a proper video inspection was done and shown to us to make sure the line is flowing properly. Also recommended for 2-year inspection.\nIt was little overwhelming for us being 1st time homeowners, but I must say Mr. Rooter handled it meticulously. He was very thorough and transparent with the complete process and made sure I understand the problems, steps to correct it and the costs involved.\nThey also inspected my sump pump installation, bidet installations and made sure we understand what is correct and what\u2019s not. They also offer financing solutions but interaction regarding that on phone could have been better, there was some miscommunication regarding activation fees.\nThey are humble, professionals, caring and understanding. They know what there are doing. They overpriced what was a quick-fix job, affixing parts not meant for our type of plumbing.  Casey&#039;s Climate Partners in Milford was available and had promising reviews, which is why I reached out to them.  Their initial estimate, which required taking out the tile bathroom wall (but not putting it back), was $1,775.00, for which they charged and received a 20% deposit on the spot ($377.54).  Their technicians were a no-show for the follow-up service (twice) because the company gave our scheduled and confirmed appointment to another client, which extended the problem by several weeks.\n\nI found Mr. Rooters Plumbing via Google, who resolved the issue in less than two hours, for $1,300.33, without removing any walls.  The company called the day before to confirm and an hour prior to the appointment to let me know they were on their way.  The technicians (Eric Campbell and Gary Anderson) found the faulty pipe in minutes.  They spoke to the upstairs unit owner (who left us his keys as he could not be present), the association, and the association&#039;s maintenance team over the phone while doing their assessment so they could address the issue as quickly and efficiently as possible.  The technicians were on-time, professional, and efficient.  Eric and Gary walked me through the problem, photographed everything they addressed before and after, and shared the photographs for our records.\n\nI am impressed that Mr. Rooter Plumbing only cut a few inches of sheetrock to address a pipe problem between two floors, which meant not having to schedule and pay for additional services or follow-ups.  Because the company sent two technicians, they communicated with one another from both units while resolving and evaluating their work.  Mr. Rooter Plumbing was transparent about their diagnosis, the parts they replaced and affixed, including their billing.   With condos, billing is problematic.  Depending on where the problem resides, the cost can fall on either the unit owner(s) or the association.  Mr. Rooter Plumbing was flexible regarding payment responsibility, which most companies are not.\n\nThe final price came out lower than their estimate.  The technicians were willing to wait after they arrived and assessed the problem for our building&#039;s association to call back and approve the work, so they could get started to avoid having to schedule a follow-up appointment with us.  When they finished servicing both units, the technicians put the appliances back in place and disposed of the sheetrock and old parts. They reviewed all the plumbing and connections thoroughly and made sure there is no issue before applying the solutions.\nThey then started with hydro jet flushing, but the clog was not completely removed, and the video inspection showed that it was stuck at 40 feet. They didn&#039;t give up and located another entry point which required a foot digging where they had to cut the 4-inch pipe and jet from that location and after jetting cleared obstruction at about 90 feet. It was then stuck at 90 ft and was not able to move forward.\nThe point of obstruction was located, and it was decided to dig another day and find out the root cause.\nNext day they took care of all the city inspections and approvals for the excavation and showed up at 7:00 am with their crew. Excavated existing sewer line near condenser on side of yard. They then exposed existing AC 6-inch sewer line with fernco. continued to expose existing sewer line and found another fernco coupling. At some point in time, wine was repaired with fernco and SDR pipe. So basically, we found frozen grease and wood debris of pipe size and misalignments. He removed the proximately 10-foot section of pipe and replaced with (2) arc couplings and 6-inch SDR pipe. Also installed 6-inch clean out for future access. The old pipe was replaced and the offsets in the pipe was corrected up to a great extent.\nAfter all the process a proper video inspection was done and shown to us to make sure the line is flowing properly. Also recommended for 2-year inspection.\nIt was little overwhelming for us being 1st time homeowners, but I must say Mr. Rooter handled it meticulously. He was very thorough and transparent with the complete process and made sure I understand the problems, steps to correct it and the costs involved.\nThey also inspected my sump pump installation, bidet installations and made sure we understand what is correct and what\u2019s not.
