Trenchless Sewer Repair Daly City

Mr. Rooter Plumbing’s trenchless sewer repair service is available in Daly City and its neighboring communities. Our specialists are certified, trained, and experienced in using the latest technologies in plumbing. We recommend trenchless repairs, inspections, and replacements to our clients.

Before conducting a sewer repair, we first diagnose the actual problem using sewer camera inspection. This is done by inserting a tube with a CCTV camera attached to it into the pipes while a specialist watches on the monitor what the camera sees underground.

By conducting an initial inspection, we will know whether our clients’ sewer pipes need cleaning, repair, or replacement. Without initial inspections, clients may end up having their properties excavated only to find out the pipes are not damaged but need to be cleaned.

The Causes of Sewer Pipe Damage

Pipes that are damaged require repairs by a certified plumber like Mr. Rooter Plumbing. Clients may try and fix the problem but most of the time, using the expertise of someone trained and experienced with plumbing and sewers is way easier and faster. That is because we know what to look for and what to do when we find the problem.

One of the most common causes of damage to sewer pipes is tree roots. Homeowners may sometimes be responsible for the cause if they planted the trees right on top of the sewer lines.

But some homeowners may have bought the property with plants and trees already in place. They only know the tree is causing a problem when its roots reach the pipes and break right through. Removing the tree will prevent more damage from happening in the future.

Another cause of damage to sewer pipes is aged pipes. If the sewer pipes have not been maintained well, the pipes may age and break earlier than its expected lifespan. Old pipes are prone to corrosion.

Pipe corrosion causes slow drains and sometimes even blockages because particles flushed through drains may stick to the corroded parts of the pipe and buildup over time.

Cleaning the pipe may help but corrosion cannot be cleaned so we mostly recommend either replacing the pipes with new ones using the traditional methods of excavate and replace or by using our trenchless sewer repair and replacement technology to give the old pipe new linings.

The Symptoms of Sewer Pipe Damage

The symptoms we often hear our clients complain about before discovering they have damaged sewer pipes include bad odor in and around the premise, clogging of drains, and pipe leaks.

For bad odors, if it persists even after cleaning the entire premise, then it could be gas from the sewers. For clogged drains, if cleaning the drains does not resolve the issue, then it is possible that the pipe may have serious obstructions other than hair and grease. It could be rocks or soil from an eroded yard or roots from an overgrown tree.

Pipe leaks may happen because of loose pipe joints. Tightening up the joints may resolve the problem. Sometimes leaks are caused by punctured sewer pipes or because too much chemicals have been flushed through the drains that the pipe cannot handle.

We advise our clients to watch out for these symptoms and either do something about it or call our hotline at Mr. Rooter Plumbing.
