What is Trenchless Sewer Line Repair?
There are two basic types of trenchless sewer line repair; pipe relining and pipe bursting.
Pipe Bursting Service
In some cases, a pipe is too far damaged for repair and the entire section needs to be replaced. This is when the trenchless sewer line repair process of pipe bursting comes in handy. Essentially, the damaged pipe is used as a guide for placing the new pipe.
The new section of pipe is placed inside of the old piece of pipe, and as the process happens, the machine works to shatter the existing pipe into little pieces to make room for the new pipe.
When you have a cracked pipe that is not completely broken, pipe relining is a good option. In this process, we run a piece of material that is flat into the pipe and then run a balloon inside of that. The balloon is then inflated, which expands the flat material until it touches flush with the inside walls of the pipe. After the material adheres to the walk and is fully set, the balloon is removed and you are left with a fully repaired pipe.
A sewer line repair is stressful enough - even if the malfunction has not escalated and turned into a full-on leak and flooding of your yard, needing repair for your sewer line is a stressful situation.
