Our local plumbers can replace all of the following types of basement floor drains.
- Box drain: Box drains are made up of a square or round grate cover embedded into the floor. Beneath the grate is a hollow box that connects to your sewer line. During a flood, water flows into your sewer line, and the box serves as a holding tank for any excess water that is draining too slowly.
- French drain/interior perimeter drain: French drains are best for houses with frequent flooding problems. They are installed in a trench around the basement's perimeter and connected to a sump pump for draining. French drains cost more to install but are well worth it if your house is in a flood-prone area.
- Baseboard drain: These drains are common in older homes with flooding issues. They sit above your basement's floor and channel flood water out via a pipe that runs to your home's exterior. Since they sit above the floor, they only mitigate flood damage - they don't prevent it entirely. This makes them best for unfinished basements.
