Submersible, Shallow Jets, and More
We work with all types of water wells to address any of your well pump needs. The average household will have one of two different types of pumps, either jetted or submersible. Here is a bit more insight into how our repair and replacement services vary depending on what type of water pump you have installed:
- Jet pumps: Jet pumps are located above ground and create pressure with an impeller or centrifugal pump to draw water up. While cheaper to install, jet pumps are the less preferred option due to their tendency to break down easily. On the bright side, since they are above ground, it’s easier to access for maintenance or repairs.
- Submersible pumps: Submersible pumps are generally preferred by residents for a variety of reasons. Installed underground, a series of impellers drive water upwards, and the pressure switch activates the water to come above ground whenever you would like. While more expensive to install, they are considered more reliable, and as a bonus, they’re less noisy.
Depending on the type of well pump you have, we have the skills to assist with a variety of common well pump issues. Since both use electricity and mechanical components to operate, we carry all the necessary equipment to help replace any faulty parts.
