  • “We had an issues come up with our hot water heater. We had to go through our home warranty company and we were lucky to get Lance Morris as the person to come address the issue. I can't say enough good things about the service he provided. He was prompt, even coming earlier than originally quoted, which is awesome in my book! He was efficient in detecting the issue and promptly called the home warranty company to ensure this would be covered. He took extra precautions to ensure that my home was kept clean by placing shoe covers on as well as placing cardboard down and putting covers on the wheels of his dolly. He then took the time to explain the new water heater and let me know what else could be done if we would like. He then took the time to answer questions not about the issue he was called about. Lance was professional and courteous and I would highly recommend him.”

  • “My water heater went out. I had to use the old fashioned, paper phone book because the website would not make an appointment. The person on the phone was very polite an gave me an appointment the same day. The assigned plumber, Christopher Lawson, first put on some booties to keep my house clean because of the snow. He began by trying to get the existing water heater going. He came back the next day with a thermo-coupling. That didn't fix it either. He gave me an estimate on a new unit an said I could purchase a new unit elsewhere and he would install it. I chose to buy the water heater from him to keep the warranty in tact with the company that installed it. Tracy called on Monday and made an appointment for Tuesday. Chris was prompt and explained several things about the water heater and its maintenance. He even went through and made sure the pressure was right at all the sinks for me. Thank you, Mr. Rooter for sending Chris to help solve my hot water problems.”

  • “From the beginning to the end, we were treated very well. Better than expected these days as most businesses seem not to care much anymore. All our questions were answered promptly, courteously, and thoroughly. And that was before we even decided to make an appointment! I requested background on the service techs who would be coming to our home, and it was given without any hesitation. Once here, the guys went right to work scoping our drains with a camera to search for problems, and offered multiple solution approaches. They talked with common sense and I felt I was getting the same advise from them as they would apply to their own homes. Angela in the office was just a sweetheart, helping me before, during & after the service. Can't stress enough that this company treats customers & their homes with respect, they are knowledgeable, not pushy, and we are certainly happy to now know who to call in the future for any plumbing needs.”

  • “For several years we've had on-and-off problems with sewer backups on one side of our house, whenever we have a guest in the guest room and using the bathroom on that side of the house. Other companies would roto-root to solve the immediate problem, but never managed to really solve it all the way. Brock from Mr. Rooter told us his suspicion that the problem lay with our "Orangeburg pipes" that made up the sewer connectors from our house out some distance, and he found where a choke point was. He dug up the pipe and found it literally falling apart. He replaced it with PVC, all 30 feet from our house to a connector further out from the house, where it joints with a clay sewer. He installed two vertical sewer cleanup pipes and explained to us how each one curves in a different direction, so that a plumber dealing with any blockage in the future will know which way the rooter tool is pointing. He also answered several questions of mine about other plumbing matters, that he probably thought were really stupid, without a trace of condescension. He took time to educate my husband and me, who know very little about plumbing. Brock from Mr. Rooter was: 1) Prompt and quick to get our problem solved, even when the city had to get involved due to the digging in our yard 2) Polite and informative - did not get impatient or talk down to us, but explained what was happening in an easy-to-understand manner. Good at communicating when decision points were reached; did not leave us hanging. 3) Knowledgeable about local conditions, common pipe and sewer issues in houses of our age, and about things that are usually NOT problems. Knowledgeable about code requirements for both Columbia and Jefferson City. 4) Effective at solving our nagging, ongoing problem once and for all. 5) Neat. Even after jack-hammering and digging in our backyard, the place did not look torn up at all, and of course there was no trace of our old, disintegrated sewer pipes by the time we got home from work that same day. 6) A good advocate for us with our insurance company, which keeps telling us that to get better insurance Missouri law supposedly requires us to "update all our plumbing" in order to get good insurance. Brock (as well as other contractors we've spoken with) thinks this "law" is nonsense, and he is doggedly pursuing the question with our insurance company. I like that Mr. Rooter uses a book laying out the charges for each job by the job, not charging surcharges for night or weekend work or even charging by the hour. I don't know what others would charge for the same work we had done, so I can't judge whether the $2300 we paid for the cleaning, digging and replacing was high or low, but to us, the work was absolutely worth it because it gave us what we think will be a real and lasting solution. We will certainly call on Mr. Rooter again and recommend the company to others.”

He went above and beyond to explain everything and left us with a much better knowledge of how it all worked.
