Mr. Rooter® Kansas City Celebrates 4th of July with Drive for RMHC-KC
I am delighted to share with you what our Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Kansas City shop is doing during July. Kent Turpin, owner of the Raytown, Mo.-based Mr. Rooter, and his team celebrated Independence Day by kicking off a Fourth of July drive for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Kansas City (RMHC-KC).
Kent is donating $4 for every plumbing service call during July to RMHC-KC. His shop is also collecting "Wish List" items the House needs, like paper plates, towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste. They had such an overwhelming response from the Mr. Rooter 'Rolls of Love' Drive in February they wanted to do another one. Kent delivered about $600 worth of donations to RMHC-KC, and he's hoping this drive will be even bigger. I like how Kent is extending this donation to his customers and the community. His customers are welcome to match the $4 donation Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Kansas City is making.
Kent is also offering to pick up donations from those who want to donate in the community. And he's making it a win-win for donors. Kent is providing them with a plumbing checkup at no cost. I would like to take a moment to thank Kent for being a good representative of the Mr. Rooter brand. This isn't the first time he's gone above and beyond to help out. Back in April, Kent helped rescue a woman and her dogs from a burning home. He was in the middle of a plumbing job when he saw the flames from a few houses down the street. He called 911, and rushed down the street and pounded on her door. Because of his quick actions, the homeowner and her dogs got out safely, and there was minimal damage done to the house.

Here's wishing you a world class day.
