The Dirty Truth About Tech Germs

No matter how hard you try to avoid germs, they will always be around you. Unfortunately, some germs might be closer to you than you would like them to be. According to Keeping it Kleen and Mashable, 16 percent of cell phones have poop on them! Such an alarming statistic gives off an air of concern. How dirty are the things around us? The answer? According to this infographic, pretty dirty. "Keyboards, on average, are five times dirtier and have 60 times more germs on them than toilet seats. They are 150 times over the acceptable limit for bacteria." While this is good news for us in the plumbing industry, this is concerning for everyone. How do we keep these things clean? It is obviously important for us to continue to use cell phones and keyboards on a daily basis, but are the germs of our concern? Of course they are! So, how do we take care of this issue? There are a few efficient and effective ways to maintain your health and to keep things clean. Some suggestions include Clorox wipes, ultraviolet light cleaners and rubbing alcohol on soft tissue.
