Rolls Repurposed: DIY Floating Pen Pocket

No matter how many pens you buy, they always seem to disappear. And forget finding one when your work space is overwhelmed with papers and assignments. So take a step back and look up...to your wall space around you! With this simple toilet paper tube craft, Mr. Rooter is here to give you a little more organization.

What You'll Need

  • Toilet paper tube
  • Tissue paper (or craft paper)
  • Glue
  • Stapler
  • Scissors (or magnets if you have metal around you)
  • Thumb tack

Step 1

Close one end of the toilet paper tube and staple it shut. It should only take two staples to seal it.

Step 2

Cut enough tissue/craft paper to wrap around the tube completely. Leave excess at the top and bottom so you can fold it over the edges for a cleaner look.

Step 3

Glue the paper on the toilet paper tube, once it's in place clean up the edges by cutting and folding the left over material.

Step 4

Decorate the tube as you see fit and tack it up or us two magnets to hold it up on metal. Fill your Pen Pocket with pens, pencils and highlighters so you always have easy access to any writing utensil you could need!
