Rolls Repurposed: Toilet Paper Origami
Get crafty this spring with origami flowers! They are the perfect accessory for a desk or bookshelf, and look great in various sizes. This DIY project is a bit more challenging than other rolls-repurposed crafts, but the completed product will be worth the time and patience!
- Toilet paper rolls
- Paper towel rolls
What to do:
Cut a toilet paper roll down the middle and flatten it out. Cut thin strips (leaving the strips still attached at the bottom of the roll). Roll the paper strip inward to form the middle of the flower.
Cut a paper towel roll down the middle and flatten it out. Cut long, thin strips to act as the petals of the flower. Form into a loop shape and attach to the middle of the flower with a stapler.
Continue attaching the flower petals to the middle of the flower.Intertwine some of them to give a fuller look. This craft would look great spray painted! Place on a desk or bookcase with your other rolls-repurposed projects!
