We use an innovative method for repairing leaking pipes. We start with a plumbing video camera inspection. The small, waterproof inspection camera is at one end of a long cable. The cable can be stretched hundreds of feet into your plumbing. At the other end of the cable is a video monitor, where we can see real-time information as the camera progresses through your pipes. We’ll look for signs of leaks, cracks, punctures, corrosion, pests and rodents, clogs, and tree root intrusions. Once we know where the leak is and what caused it, we can recommend one of our residential leaking pipe repair methods:
Pipe relining
If your pipe leak or pipe damage is minor, we can use our pipe relining technique. We insert a special, quick-hardening sleeve into the damaged pipe. As the sleeve hardens, it seals up any punctures, cracks, and leaks. It also prevents future damage from occurring.
Pipe replacement
If the leaking pipe is due to more serious damage to your pipes, we’ll need to replace them. We use a method called the Pipe Pull™ technique. We dig two small holes, or access points, at each end of the pipeline. As we thread the replacement pipe into place following the path of the existing damaged pipe, the replacement pipe bursts the old pipe and moves it out of the way. Our replacement pipes are resistant to corrosion, chemicals, pests and rodents, leaks, and tree root intrusion. With proper care and maintenance, they can last up to 100 years.
