Hands down 5+ ( if it would let me)! Ryan was at our house today ( called about 9 arrived about noon). We have one bathroom and with elderly parents in house, we needed it working pronto! He was wonderful! Polite , courteous, extremely helpful. He knew his stuff. It took him a while, this was not an easy fix. He kept us posted and cleaned very well after he was done. This is second time we needed this company and both times they were excellent! Highly recommend this company, is only plumbing service we will use. Thanks to Mr Rooter and especially Ryan for working so hard today!

Ryan was amazing! Where most people/plumbing companies would’ve called it a day and made me reschedule, he would not give up until my house was god again! He worked diligently and with a great attitude. I can’t thank him enough.

Frequently Asked Questions About Plumbing in Newton Junction, New Hampshire

If you have questions about our plumbing services, contact Mr. Rooter Plumbing® in Newton Junction, New Hampshire. Learn more about our plumbing offerings in our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section below.

  • As time passes and you loosen and tighten your faucet multiple times, parts like valve seats and washers can wear out, leading to a dripping faucet. If you know your dripping faucet is caused by excessively high water pressure, contact a trusted plumbing service provider to test the pressure and adjust if required. Your dripping tap may be caused by rust and corrosion, which can come about through hard water, causing minerals and solids to form a residue on your faucet. You don’t always have to diagnose and repair a leaky faucet yourself; contact a plumbing service provider in your area to do it for you.

  • As soon as you notice low water pressure, check to make sure your primary water shutoff valves are open since even being slightly closed might affect your water pressure. If you suspect that blockages in your pipes are causing your low water pressure, contact a plumbing service provider to inspect and take care of the issue. You may need to replace your water supply’s pressure regulator if you regularly encounter issues with your water pressure fluctuating dramatically and without any warning. When you notice a wet patch on your property while you’ve been experiencing low water pressure, talk to a plumbing service provider about a broken pipe since it might be the cause.

  • When you have a slow-draining sink and aren’t sure of the cause and don’t know how to fix it, call a trusted plumber in your area who will be happy to take care of it for you. Grease and soap scum can create clogs in drain pipes that result in slow-draining sinks, but you might be able to take care of them with household ingredients like baking soda and vinegar. When you have a hard-to-shift blockage causing your sink to drain slowly, put a plumbing snake deep into your drain, twist it, and remove anything that might be blocking it. Whenever you’re trying to tackle a slow-draining sink, check the P-trap for debris, as this can be a common cause of blockages in our drains.

  • Book plumbing services with your local plumbing service provider, like drain cleaning and water heater flushing, to keep your plumbing systems in good condition and prevent leaks. Maintain the health of your pipes and potentially prevent leaks by being mindful of what you pour down your drain — avoid problematic items like feminine hygiene products, paper towels, bathroom wipes, coffee grounds, and cooking oil. If you know your water pressure is high, use a pressure regulator or consult a plumbing service provider to avoid potential leaks resulting from related pipe damage in the future. Winter-related damage to pipes isn’t always avoidable, but it’s possible if you have exposed pipes and put measures in place to insulate, cover, and protect them.

  • You don’t have to find out the cause of a foul-smelling sink yourself; you can contact a trusted plumbing service provider in your area to take care of it for you. A clog or blockage isn’t just an annoyance; it can also be a source of any foul-smelling odors you notice around your sink because bacteria like to breed on blockages! You can experience foul, sewer-like odors around sinks that aren’t used due to dried-out P-traps, which let sewer gases into the home. If you have a garbage disposal, rotting food and bacteria stuck on a component can cause a foul smell around your sink.

  • Your water may not be getting hot enough because it’s in great demand by your household, meaning more hot water is being used than is currently available. Your water heater thermostat may be set too low, so you can check and adjust this while ensuring you don’t exceed 120 degrees F due to the risk of burns. Many parts inside water heaters help to heat the water, so a lack of hot water can mean you have a malfunctioning or broken heating element, gas valve, or thermostat. If you don’t feel confident finding out why your water heater isn’t producing much hot water, contact a trusted plumber in your area.

  • Rule out leaking faucets, fixtures, and pipes when you receive a high water bill because they are among the most common causes that a service professional may need to fix. See if your outdoor irrigation system is using the most efficient settings, as an unusually high water bill is associated with excessive consumption and water runoff. Take notice of your water-heating appliances like washing machines, water heaters, and dishwashers when you have a high water bill since their efficiency, age, and condition all contribute. You can waste tens of thousands of gallons from a leaking toilet tank, so inspect your toilet when you’ve received a high water bill.

  • ·Turn off water and power: When you’ve experienced a burst pipe inside your home or business, immediately turn off the water and power if it’s safe to do so, as they can present health and safety risks. Contact a trusted plumbing service provider: When you notice a burst pipe on your property, contact a plumbing service provider near you to ensure it’s repaired or replaced in a timely fashion. Clean up excess water: In the immediate aftermath of a burst pipe, prioritize your cleanup efforts with buckets, mops, and towels unless sewage is present. Document any damage: If you’re claiming insurance for the damage your burst pipe has caused, don’t forget to document all the damage and take both photos and videos.

  • Inspect your toilet’s flapper and chain since a brittle flapper and a chain caught on something can contribute to or cause a toilet to keep running after you flush it. A waterlogged float that needs to be replaced can be a common cause of a toilet running after flushing, which means that it’s filled with water and needs to be replaced. We need our toilet fill valves to work at their best because they shut off the water supply to our toilets, but they stop performing this task when they wear out. Contact a plumber for help and advice to diagnose and repair your toilet when it won’t stop running after you flush it.

  • It’s not uncommon for there to be water valves inside your home, which means a simple clockwise turn is all it takes to turn off the water supply to your property. You can turn the water off to your property by locating the water meter box and undoing the security bolt on the box with a pentagon socket wrench. Grab a pair of pliers or a meter key when accessing your water meter box since they can be required to turn off your property’s main water valve. If you’ve spent a long time looking for your home’s water supply valve to turn it off, but still haven’t found it, contact a plumber in your area for advice.
