Customer Reviews in Wylie, Texas
-
Overall, the Mr. Rooter team helped us through an extremely challenging, financially stressful, but necessary set of comprehensive repairs for our drainage/sewer system. We would recommend them to anyone with a major or minor plumbing issue. In our situation, we had a sewer backup that required replacement of our entire sewer line under our home foundation and in the yard. We also ended up replacing the shower pan and taking care of several other repairs. Some repairs were necessary, as additional issues were identified by Jeff DuBose and his team (like toilet flanges), while others were optional, but we decided to take advantage while we had access under the house. We are very pleased with the quality of the work, our understanding of the steps, the complete body and timeliness of work done, and the way that they finished the job and left our property. We are confident that our sewer system is now set for the next 30+ years. Jeff DuBose was our main project manager/lead plumber and took extra time to explain the problems, provide the various options and solutions, and accurately estimate the cost. He listened to our concerns and questions, and helped us understand each of the steps involved. He shared his personal cell number so we could keep in touch throughout the job. Throughout the process, Jeff shared pictures and videos, so we could see and understand what the problems were, what it looked like from inside and outside the pipes, where the problem points were (we had several leaks and breakages), and what it looked like within the almost 60 foot tunnel under the house. We were also able to see the entire system after all of the work was completed. Jeff made sure the excavator team arrived timely and that there were no issues, and he also made sure they complied with our wishes on dirt piles and dirt replacement when done. Jeff provided some additional documentation for our insurance company as we were pursuing getting part of the expense covered. And he initiated the process to get low-interest financing for the work. Jeff is a great front-man for Mr. Rooter! During our job, Jeff's team had to overcome several additional challenges. One assistant had emergency surgery after the first day and did not return. Jeff had to miss several days when he had a priory injury that was aggravated, which required medical attention. But the others on Jeff's Mr. Rooter team stepped up to fill in the gap. Jorge was onsite almost every day throughout the long job. He handled much of the optional work that we had wanted done, such as updating our bathroom water cutoff valves, in addition to helping with various steps throughout the process above and below ground. When Jeff was unavailable, Jorge stepped up into the communication role, helping me know what to expect, when I needed to be home, and when we would need to make alternate housing arrangements (2 days without access to sewer/water service, 1 day during a test for inspection). Jorge also went way above and beyond to help us locate and order the specific toilets that we wanted. We had ordered them from Home Depot, but they had arrived broken, so we were in a bind. Jorge made several calls to local plumbing supply companies until he located what we wanted. He picked up one, and Pascual picked up the other. This level of "extra-mile" service is really appreciated – thanks to Jeff for offering to handle the toilet acquisition, and thanks to Jorge for all of his extra foot-work to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. Pascual Adame is the 3rd member of the team, and he was extremely valuable to the success of our job. Jeff, Jorge, and Pascual all worked under the house at some point, with two or more team members working to replace P traps, toilet flanges, and various other items, in addition to all drain/sewer pipes. Pascual's role on the job was initially to replace the Shower Pan in the Master bath. When Jeff re-injured himself, Pascual jumped in and ended up doing the majority of pipe work under the house. He installed all of the new pipes under the house after removing the old pipes from under the house with Jorge. Pascual, with Jorge's assistance, also hung the pipes from the foundation. Pascual also removed and laid the pipes in the yard from the house to the city sewer line with Jorge's assistance. When the Plano City Inspector questioned an industry standard connector from the toilet flanges to the new pipes, Pascual (in the tunnel) and Jorge (from the top) installed new toilet flanges to replace the previously installed ones, so they could be connected with different connectors to pass inspection. Pascual was integral in overcoming several challenges during the job, and simply approached each hurdle with calm, knowledgeable options, which only experience can bring. Without Pascual, our job would have been significantly delayed. We really appreciate Mr. Rooter's teamwork approach and Pascual's work ethic, knowledge, experience, and willingness to jump in and find solutions, resulting in a sewer system that will last for decades. Again, thanks to Jeff, Pascual, and Jorge for their excellent work!
Glen

You have a plumbing emergency on your hands if you’ve encountered a situation in which something involving your plumbing is posing a risk to your property or is a health hazard. If your property is without hot water or water entirely, contact an emergency plumber to diagnose a possible serious plumbing system failure. It can be critical to call a plumber as soon as possible when you notice a water leak they can quickly grow in size and cause serious property damage. Gas leaks, frozen pipes, burst pipes, and even a clogged toilet are all plumbing emergencies that you request help from an emergency plumber to address.
-
If you’ve experienced a plumbing emergency, such as a broken pipe, a malfunctioning water heater, a frozen pipe, or another challenge, a trusted plumber should be the first person you call to help with the situation. When experiencing a plumbing emergency, call your local plumbing professional on their emergency number to schedule plumbing service for you home or business. Many plumbing companies offering emergency plumbing services have a 24/7 call answering service so you can access them if you’re experiencing a plumbing emergency. While calling an emergency plumber is one of the best actions you can take in a plumbing emergency, you may also need to contact other professionals like a utility company for main water lines and gas lines and your insurance provider in case of damage.
-
Finding an emergency plumber is more straightforward than you think since you can look for information like contact forms and phone numbers on the websites of many well-established plumbing companies. If you need to find an emergency plumbing expert in a hurry, type, ’emergency plumbers near me’ into the Internet search bar for access to names and numbers of trusted plumbers in your area. If browsing the Internet for an emergency plumber phone numbers seems like too much work, ask friends, family members, neighbors, and other people in your life for a recommendation. Unfortunately, not all plumbing service providers can be relied on for emergency service, which means you may need to contact multiple service providers to find one who can provide what you’re looking for.
-
Prioritizing regular maintenance, such as cleaning drains, maintaining your water heater, and scheduling regular system inspections through your local trusted plumbing professional are great ways to avoid plumbing emergencies. Not all winter plumbing emergencies are avoidable, but you can reduce the risks related to burst and frozen pipes by insulating pipes exposed to the cold or in open areas like attics and basements. Understanding your plumbing system may go a long way toward avoiding plumbing emergencies, such as knowing where your main water shut-off valve is, how to access it, and understanding the layout of your plumbing system to identify problems quickly. If you are careful with what goes down drains and toilets, such as avoiding grease, oil, and feminine hygiene products, you may prevent pipe-related blockages and plumbing emergencies.
-
Try to identify any potential dangers in the area and the source of the plumbing emergency so you know if you need to evacuate and call and emergency plumber. As soon as you experience a plumbing emergency, start gaining control of it by turning off the main water supply to your home or business, or the localized supply to the specific appliance or system involved. Begin the initial cleanup process after a plumbing emergency involving your pipes, appliance, or drain, using towels, buckets, and mops. Safety is of the utmost importance in a plumbing emergency, so call a plumber you trust to ensure help is on the way.
-
When you can’t address a clogged toilet by yourself with your own tools and skills, it should be considered a plumbing emergency which requires the services of a professional plumber to resolve for you. Clogged toilets that start to overflow and cause water damage to surrounding areas should be considered a plumbing emergency. When a toilet becomes clogged, it can create a serious sanitation hazard which qualifies it as a plumbing emergency – especially when it endangers people’s health and safety. Consider calling a trusted emergency plumbing service provider if you’re experiencing ongoing toilet clogs, only have one bathroom in your home or business, or multiple toilets are affected.
-
For residential or commercial properties, blocked drains beyond DIY repair are a reason to call on insured and licensed plumbing professionals who offer emergency services. Blocked drains can be a serious plumbing issue and are considered a plumbing emergency when multiple drains or fixtures are clogged at the same time, indicating a more severe problem with your plumbing system or main sewer line. If your blocked drain is causing issues with standing water and raw sewage, which can create a health hazard, contact an emergency plumber without delay. If your blocked drains are a possible health and safety risk, or they’re happening frequently, this constitutes a plumbing emergency and you should call an experienced, local plumber to resolve the problem.
-
A water leak has the potential to create significant damage to a home or business, making it a plumbing emergency. Don’t hesitate to call a plumber who offers emergency services if you’re dealing with a water leak in your home or business that has a fast water flow and the potential to cause property damage. Some plumbing problems related to leaks can affect floors, walls, and other parts of your property’s structures, making them a serious plumbing emergency that requires service from a licensed and insured plumber to address. Don’t hesitate to contact a plumber you trust if you have a water leak that is an electrical hazard or is affecting your water heater or main water lines.
-
Tipping may be something you consider if your preferred emergency plumber provides an impressive level of service or you’re thrilled they were able to visit your property and resolve your plumbing emergency quickly. In addition to tipping, expressing your gratitude to a plumber can include writing them a thank-you card, giving them a glowing recommendation, or leaving a great online review. While an emergency plumber may appreciate tipping for exceptional service, it is not mandatory or expected as standard practice.
